Embracing renewal, rebirth, and everything in between. Honoring the Spring Equinox.

The equinox marks a time of transition and rebirth. It’s a moment of time and space to pause- reflect, and ask ourselves;

  • What do we want to bring with us into this new season of life?

  • Who do we want to be? What are the daily habits of that iteration of self that bring me joy?

  • What is begging to be let go and shed after a season of hibernation or stillness?

  • How do we make space for grief and navigate newness while honoring our needs?

As a Spring baby (Gemini here!) and a being with big emotions, I know this transition can sometimes feel turbulent. There are parts of me that begin to wake up with a whole lot more fire in my bones as the sun gets a little brighter and I feel the heat of the warming earth deep in my belly. It feels like it’s time to hit the thawing ground at full speed. There are also parts of me that are in deep grief, begging for ease and rest, shedding old patterns and beliefs as I bloom from the earth once more. It’s a reminder of duality and deep reverence, making space for all that is.

It’s also important to note that in TCM Spring is associated with the liver, our body’s major detox organ. This may also result in big feelings and old symptoms resurfacing like dandelions if we aren’t providing the liver some extra TLC. Speaking of dandelion, it’s a great and gentle detoxifier.
